Caroline Howell Honored As Trinity Senior Female Scholar Athlete Of The Year

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College women's ice hockey senior Caroline Howell (Lyme, N.H.) was named the 2018 Susan E. Martin Award recipient as the College's senior female scholar athlete of the year.  The Bantams, coached by Keith Maurice (3rd season), finished the 2017-18 campaign with a 7-16-1 overall record and in ninth place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 3-12-1 mark against conference teams.  

Howell played in all 24 games and scored three goals, including one game-winner, for Trinity this winter, and finished her fine career with seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 99 games as both a forward and on the blue line.  She is a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, and also represented Trinity women's ice hockey on the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team as a rookie in 2014-15. An alum of Hanover High School, Howell graduated from Trinity this spring with a degree in anthropology and psychology at Trinity.  She is the daughter of Scott and Alix Howell.
