Trinity Women's Lacrosse Alums, Current And Former Coaches, And Player Featured In Media In 2018-19

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College women's lacrosse alum Georgia Mergner '18 was featured on Sidelinetherapy.com, as she gave a first-hand account of her battle with injuries that resulted in a fine four-year career with the Bantams.  Trinity first-year attacker Lilianna Khosrowshahi (Braircliff Manor, N.Y.) was featured during the season on Inside Lacrosse as a Division III "Rookie to Watch", while former Bantam Head Field Hockey, Women's Basketball, and Women's Lacrosse Coach and Associate Athletic Director Robin Sheppard gave an inspiring lecture on the evolution of female sports at Trinity as part of the college's "Women at the Summit" celebration of 50 years of coeducation.  A story about her talk is featured on the Trinity website.  Khosrowshahi was also profiled earlier this spring on Inside Lacrosse as one of five "Breakout Players of the Year" over the first month of the 2019 Division III women's lacrosse season, while current Trinity Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Katy Dissinger (5th Season) was featured at the beginning of this season in a story by Inside Lacrosse about the 90-second shot clock in Division III competition. Recent women's lacrosse alum Allie Barrett'18 appeared in the Concord Journal early in the 2018-19 academic year after a stellar senior season and career with the Bantams.  The Bantams finished the 2019 season with a 9-7 overall record and tied with Bates for seventh place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 4-6 league mark.  The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament, but lost, 12-5, at Tufts in the quarterfinals.
