Trinity Women's Lacrosse Coach Katy Dissinger Featured In Media Story

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Katy Dissinger (5th Season) was recently featured in a story by Inside Lacrosse about the 90-second shot clock in Division III competition which made its debut last spring.  The Bantams, ranked No. 9 nationally in the pre-season, opens the 2019 season at Skidmore on March 7.  The Bantams finished 2018 with a 13-7 overall record and tied with Bowdoin and Wesleyan for fourth place in the league standings with a 6-4 mark in conference play. Trinity defeated Tufts University, 12-10, in the NESCAC Quarterfinals but lost, 16-13, at Middlebury in the semifinals of the conference tournament.  The Bantams received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament and a bye to the second round before downing Springfield, 16-4, to advance to the third round where they defeated Rhodes College, 20-11, to reach the quarterfinals. Recent women's lacrosse alum Allie Barrett'18 was featured in the Concord Journal early in the 2018-19 academic year after a stellar senior season and career with the Bantams.  Barrett had 41 goals and 14 assists in 2018 and finished her fine career with 108 goals.
