Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain Petros Hologitas (Brockton, Mass.) won two matches, as the Trinity College Bantams went 0-2 in a tri-match at Wilkes University this afternoon. Trinity fell to 1-13 with a narrow 23-21 setback against the Washington and Jefferson College Presidents and a 47-3 loss to the host Wilkes Colonels.
Against the Presidents, Bantam senior 149-pounder Jeremy Rees (Framingham, Mass.) won by fall in 1:11 and junior heavyweight Kyle McGuire (Mansfield, Mass.) did the same in 5:41, but Washington and Jefferson also won twice with pins to even out those points. Trinity senior 141-pounder Scott Gonzalez (Tolland, Conn.) pulled out a 3-2 victory, while senior Evan Robinson (Shrewsbury, Mass.) won, 6-2, at 165 pounds, and Hologitas earned a 9-3 win at 197 pounds. The difference was a forfeit win for the Presidents at 133 pounds. Hologitas recorded a 3-2 triumph to account for the three Bantam points in the Wilkes match.
