Sorensen Brings Home First Place for Trinity Wrestling at Citrus Invitational

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Senior co-captain Grant Sorensen (Moore, Okla.) won the 149-pound division for the Trinity College wrestling team at the Citrus Invitational over the weekend in Fort Lauderdale. Trinity finished 11th out of 13 teams in the tournament featuring teams from all across the country. Sorensen's title is his second of the winter after previously finishing first at 157 in the season-opening Doug Parker Invitational.

Sorensen won four times with a pair of falls, including in the final over Jarrad Lasko of John Carroll University. Rookie Anders Klass (Braintree, Mass.) added an eighth-place finish at 184 with three wins including a pin.

Trinity returns north where they will compete in the Waynesburg Invitational in Pennsylvania on January 5th.
