Providence, R.I. - Sophomore Kevin Lyskawa (Londonderry, N.H.) finished fifth in the 157-pound bracket, as the Trinity College Bantams finished 15th as a team in the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Wrestling Championships at Rhode Island College this weekend.  Lyskawa went 3-2 in five matches over two days and finished with a 3-2 win over Wesleyan's Aaron Goldman in the fifth-place match to earn all-regional recognition.  Trinity totaled 23 points in the team standings to finish six points ahead of 16th-place Norwich in the field of 17.  Johnson and Wales (R.I.) won the team title with 168 points.

Lyskawa won both his matches to advance to the semifinals of the 157-pound bracket on Saturday.  Ranked No. 4 in New England, Lyskawa blanked Springfield's Nicolas Monteleone, 11-0, in the first round and won, 6-2, against Worcester Tech's Chase Lind, ranked No. 2 in New England, in the quarterfinals.  He faced Sean Lyons, of New York University, in the semifinals this morning and lost 18-0 on a technical fall.  In the consolations, Lyskawa lost against Western New England's Ryan Monteiro, 7-3, to fall into the fifth-place match.  Lyskawa was the lone Trinity wrestler competing in today's action.

Also on Saturday, Trinity first-year 174-pounder Isaiah Bailey (Westerly, R.I.) went 2-2, pinning his first round opponent and blanking his second round foe, 10-0, before losing twice in  row.  Junior heavyweight John O'Brien (Reading, Mass.), sophomore 133-pounder Finn McGovern (Wilton, Conn.) and sophomore 197-pounder Anders Klass (Braintree, Mass.) each won a match by pin, while junior Evan Frank (South Salem, N.Y.) posted a 9-3 win by decision for the Bantams.
