Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College women's varsity eight finished third out of six boats in the third-level final at the National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC) Regatta this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. Trinity's second-varsity eight took sixth in the petit-final while its third-varsity eight came in fifth in the petit final, as the Bantams closed the 2017-18 season. Trinity finished less than a second faster than fourth-place St. Lawrence in the varsity-eight final with a time of 6:56.670, less than seven seconds behind the top time of Colby College. Trinity scored 75 points to finish 12th in the Overall Points Trophy Standings and 190 points to claim 10th place in the Combined Overall Points Trophy Standings.
