Trinity's Kirsten Thiim Named to Women's Rowing All-NESCAC Team

Hartford, Conn.- Trinity College junior Kirsten Thiim (Acton, Mass.) has been named to the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference Second Team, as announced on Wednesday. The 10-member squads are comprised of individuals from the league's eight teams and based on each team's finish at the NESCAC championships, which are held in conjunction with the National Invitational Rowing Championship. Trinity, led by Head Coach Heather Barney (2nd season), finished the season with a 5-10 record in dual races and 11th at the New England Rowing Championship (NERC) Championships and 12th at the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) Championships. 

Thiim earns All-NESCAC honors for the first time in her career after rowing at the bow for the Bantams this year. Thiim also started for Trinity last year as a sophomore and was named to the NIRC All-Academic Team last spring as well. A graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and a biology major, she is the daughter of Christine and Michael Thiim.
