Hartford, Conn.- Trinity College women's rowing junior Kirsten Thiim (Acton, Mass.) has been named to the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference Second Team. The 10-member squads are comprised of individuals from the league's eight teams and based on each team's finish at the NESCAC championships, which are held in conjunction with the National Invitational Rowing Championship. Trinity, led by Head Coach Heather Barney (2nd season), finished the season with a 5-10 record in dual races and placed 11th at the New England Rowing Championship (NERC) Regatta and 12th at the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) Regatta.
Thiim earns All-NESCAC honors for the first time in her career after rowing at the bow for Trinity's varsity eight this year. A three-year starter on Trinity's varsity eight, Thiim was a NIRC All-Academic honoree in 2017. A graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Thiim is majoring in biology at Trinity. She is the daughter of Christine and Michael Thiim.
