Trinity Women's Squash Defeats No. 3-Ranked Pennsylvania

Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams solidified themselves as the No. 2-ranked women's squash team in the nation with a 6-3 victory over the No. 3-ranked University of Pennsylvania Quakers this afternoon at Kellner Center.  Trinity improves to 6-0 and the Quakers fall to 4-2 with their second setback in a row.

Pennsylvania led, 2-1, after the first wave, but Trinity seniors Wee Nee Low (Penang, Malaysia) and Jennifer Pelletier (Richmond Hill, Ontario) and junior Ashley Tidman (Lamor-Plage, France) swept the second wave for a 4-2 Trinity lead.  Rookie Anna Kimberley (Essex, England) and sophomore Sachika Balvani (Mumbai, India) won, 3-0, and, 3-1, to secure the win for the home team.  Anaka Alankomony upset Trinity sophomore and 2013 College Squash Association (CSA) National Runner-Up Kanzy El Defrawy (Cairo, Egypt) at the No, 1 position, 3-1.
