Trinity Women's Squash Opens 2017-18 Season With Win At George Washington

Washington, D.C. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams opened the 2017-18 season with an 8-1 victory over the George Washington University Colonials, taking seven matches by 3-0 scores.  Bantam first-year Akanksha Sakunkhe (Vasco da Gama, India) made her collegiate debut by allowing just 12 points in her 3-0 win at the No. 6 spot in the lineup.  Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the nation, will complete the weekend trip down the Atlantic Coast with a noon match at No. 9-ranked Drexel tomorrow.  Sophomore Salma Alam Del Din (Cairo, Egypy), playing at No. 4 on the ladder, also won by a combined score of 33-12 for the Bantams.
