Clinton, N.Y. - The Trinity College Bantams opened New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Squash Championship Tournament play with 7-2 victories against No. 8-seeded Hamilton College and No. 4-seeded Amherst College at Little Courts this afternoon.  Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the nation, received a bye to the quarters as the top seed in the tournament field, and has won the conference crown in each of the 11 previous years of its existence.  Trinity, now 35-0 all-time in the NESCAC Tournament, will face No. 2-seeded Williams College in the finals tomorrow at 3 p.m.  Tournament host Hamilton, now 7-7, had beaten No. 9-seeded Colby in a first-round match yesterday, while Amherst downed Tufts in its quarterfinal match, 8-1, earlier today after also earning a first-round bye, and is now 10-5. All seven Trinity wins against both the Continentals and the Mammoths came by 3-0 scores.  Bantam rookie Akanksha Salunkhe (Vasco de Gama, India) allowed just six points over the entirety of the No. 6 match against Hamilton.
