Trinity Blanks Columbia In Women's Squash Howe Cup Opener

Cambridge, Mass. - The No. 3-seeded Trinity College Bantams put on a dominant performance in the opening round of the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships (Howe Cup), winning eight of nine matches by 3-0 scores against No. 6-seeded Columbia University in a 9-0 victory over Lions at Harvard University this afternoon.  Trinity improves to 14-2 and will play either Princeton or Pennsylvania tomorrow in the Howe Cup Semifinals at 2:30 p.m. and the finals will take place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Both of this weekend's matches would take place at top-seeded Harvard.  Bantam first-year Akanksha Salunkhe (Vasco de Gama, India) won the most lopsided match, allowing just 10 total points scored against her in a 3-0 win at No. 8 in the lineup.
