New York, N.Y. – Sophomore Lakeesha Rarere (Gold Coast, Australia) dominated her opponent in the No. 4 match, 11-4, 11-1, 11-4, to highlight a 9-0 victory for the visiting Trinity College Bantams against the Columbia University Lions in women's squash action this afternoon at Green StreetSquash Center.  Trinity, ranked No. 2 in the nation, improves to 5-0 heading into a pivotal match-up at No. 3-ranked Princeton tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.  The Bantams, playing their first match since December 8, handed the No. 7-ranked Lions their first loss in six matches this season.

Rarere, senior tri-captain Karolina Holinkova (Krnov, Czech), junior Jenny Haley (Caldicot, Wales), making her season debut after studying abroad in the fall, and rookies Akanksha Salunkhe (Vasco de Gama, India) and Min Jie Teh (Klang, Malaysia) all won by 3-0 scores for the Bantams.  Trinity senior tri-captain Raneem Sharaf (Giza, Egypt), ranked No. 5 nationally, won the first two and the fifth game to defeat No. 12-ranked Tanvi Khanna (New Delhi, India) at the top of the lineup, and senior tri-captain Julia LeCoq (Creteil, France) upended No. 21-ranked Maddie O'Connor (Toronto, Ontario), 3-1, in the No. 2 match.
