Trinity Women's Squash Handles Dartmouth At Home

Hartford Conn. - Sophomore Salma Alam El Din (Cairo, Egypt) allowed just three points in a 3-0 win at the No. 3 position in the lineup to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 victory over the visiting Dartmouth College Big Green in women's squash action this afternoon at Kellner Center.  The No. 2-ranked Bantams improve to 6-1 and Dartmouth, ranked No. 10 nationally, drops to 4-4 with its third consecutive setback.  Trinity hits the home courts again tomorrow at 3 p.m. against Middlebury. 

Seven Trinity players won by 3-0 scores, and senior tri-captain Karolina Holinkova (Krnov, Czech) held off Big Green junior Emma Roberts (Wellesley, Mass.) in the No. 8 match for a 3-2 win.  Holinkova rallied back from a 2-1 deficit to take the fourth game, 12-10, and the fifth, 11-5.  Senior Zainab Molani (Lake Zurich, Ill.) earned the lone Dartmouth point with a 3-0 triumph at the bottom of the ladder.
