Lewiston, Maine - The Trinity College women's squash team cruised to a 7-2 victory over the Bates College Bobcats on Sunday, capping off a 2-0 weekend after blanking the Bowdoin College Polar Bears yesterday. The Bantams, ranked No. 2 in the country, improve to 3-0 on the year while Bates falls to 2-3 on the year. Trinity wraps up the fall semester schedule next weekend with a pair of home games, versus Drexel on Friday and versus George Washington on Saturday.
Six of Trinity's wins came via a 3-0 sweep. Rookie Nadia Usenko (Kiev, Ukraine) allowed just eight total points to her opponent in a 3-0 win at No. 5 while classmate Amina Taher (Alexandria, Egypt) and junior Lakeesha Rarere (Hastings, New Zealand) both yielded just 11 points to their counterparts. Sophomore Min Jie Teh (Klang, Malaysia) was involved with Trinity's lone victory that went more than three sets, as she grinded out a 3-1 victory at the No. 2 spot.
