Trinity Women's Squash Stays Perfect With 9-0 Win At No. 5-Ranked Drexel

Philadelphia, Pa. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams soundly defeated the No. 5-ranked Drexel University Dragons in women's squash action this afternoon at the Kline & Specter Center.  No. 2-ranked Trinity improves to 7-0 and remains flawless for the year with seven 9-0 triumphs entering a match next Thursday at No. 8-ranked Columbia at noon.  The Dragons fall to 4-4.  

Five Bantams won by 3-0 scores.  Bantam junior Akanksha Salunkhe (Vasco de Gama, India), ranked No. 19 in the nation at the end of last season, downed Hannah Blatt, ranked No. 25, 3-1, in the No. 4 match.  Trinity sophomore Nadiia Usenko (Kiev, Ukraine), 29th nationally in 2018-19, shut out Anna Hughes, ranked 26th a year ago, at the middle position on the ladder.  Sophomore Ashita Bhengra (Chennai, India) toughed out the longest match of the afternoon, coming back from 2-1 to win, 3-2, at No. 7.
