Swimming and Diving Programs Announce 2018-19 Schedules

Hartford, Conn. – Trinity College Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Head Coach Carlos Vega (5th season) has announced his team’s schedules for the upcoming 2018-19 season. The Bantams take to the water nine times this winter, highlighted by a trip to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships in February.

Last winter, the men's program finished ninth at the conference championships while numerous Bantams set new Trinity records throughout the year.  The squad was 4-4 in dual meets and saw 11 college records fall and 40 new all-time top-10 marks.

The women's team had a successful season as well, finishing ninth at the NESCAC Championships, its best finish since 2003, while 16 college records and 28 new all-time top-10 marks were set.

The Bantams open their slate at Wesleyan on Saturday, November 17 for a tri-meet with the Cardinals and fellow NESCAC opponent Bates.

On the final day of November, both squads will travel to Hamilton for the Hamilton Invitational which lasts two days (11/30-12/1), in the final action of the fall semester.

Both teams begin the new year on January 12 at Mt. Holyoke where the women's squad will face the Lyons as well as Vassar, while the men's team faces the Brewers in a dual. The two teams then travel to Clark on January 19, before returning to Hartford to host Connecticut College on January 21 in the first action of the winter at the Trinity Natorium. On January 26, the Bantams head to Maine for a dual with the Bowdoin Polar Bears before facing off against the Colby Mules the following day (1/27).

Trinity will compete with multiple teams at WPI to kick off the month of February and prepare one last time for the NESCAC Championships afterwards. The women's conference championships take place from February 14-17 at Wesleyan while the men's championships come a week later (2/21-24) at Middlebury. Also on February 24 is the Women's February Invitational at Middlebury.

Trinity swimmers and divers can qualify and compete in both the NCAA Division III Regional Championships on March 1-3 at MIT, and the NCAA Division III National Championships March 20-23 in Greensboro, N.C.
