Women's Diving Shines at RPI Invitational

Hartford, Conn. — The Trinity College women's swimming and diving program saw a pair of divers excel at the RPI Invitational Saturday afternoon, claiming top three finishes in both the one meter and three meter diving events.

Junior Lia Urban-Spillane (Rochester, N.Y.) took second in the three-meter dive, finishing just 12 points behind RPI's Jessica Kugelman with 464.75 points. She finished in the one-meter dive, missing first by just four points with a final score of 433.50. Both of Urban-Spillane's scores topped last season's scores at the RPI Invitational by over 10 points.

Also competing was junior Jazmin Johnson (Kennewick, Wash.), who saw placement in the three-meter dive; the junior finished third with a score of 360.75.

The duo returns to the water with the rest of the Bantams, competing in the 2019-2020 NESCAC Championships at Middlebury. The meet begins Thursday, February 13, at 7 p.m.
