Claremont, Calif. - Sophomores Krista Jiranek (Owings Mills, Md.) and Jillian Winer (Bolton, Mass.) won together in doubles and in singles to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-3 victory over the Wheaton College Lyons in women's tennis action this afternoon at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.  Trinity improves to 3-1 with its second win in a row, while the Lyons fall to 2-3 with their first loss in three matches.  The Bantams will complete their spring-break schedule tomorrow night at 5 p.m. at Redlands.

Trinity took of three doubles points thanks to an 8-5 win by Jiranek/Winer at the No. 2 spot and an 8-2 victory by senior tri-captain Emily Curtis (Milton, Mass.) and junior Jane Weber (Winchester, Mass.) at the third spot.  The Bantams won in straight sets at the bottom four position in the singles lineup, including a dominant, 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 by Winer.  Trinity sophomore Julia Brogan (Falmouth, Maine) won in three sets at the No. 2 spot, winning the first, 6-3, losing the second, 6-2, but rallying for a 10-7 triumoh in the tiebreaker.
