  • Trinity Spring Student-Athletes Named To NESCAC All-Academic Team

    Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College spring athletic teams placed 65 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2019 Spring All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Friday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

    Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis team came away with a dominant, 9-0 victory over the Ithaca College Bombers on Saturday morning in Hartford in the team's season finale. The Bantams, who honored senior tri-captains Katie DiRico (Key Largo, Fla.) and Janie Weber (Winchester, Mass.) before today's match as part of Senior Day, finish the season with a 4-10 record.

    Middletown, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis squad fell, 9-0, to the No. 4-ranked Wesleyan University Cardinals on Thursday afternoon in Middletown. Trinity falls to 3-10 overall and 1-8 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) while the Cardinals improve to 11-2 on the year and 6-1 in the conference.

    Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to the visiting Colby College Mules on Saturday morning in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's tennis match in Hartford. The Bantams fall to 2-7 overall while the Mules improve to 6-5 with the win. The Bantams return to action on Sunday for another conference match, this time versus Connecticut College at 10 a.m.

    Troy, N.Y. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams bested the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers, 7-2, in women's tennis action this afternoon on Sharp Courts, snapping a five-game losing skid to improve to 2-6.  The Engineers drop to 6-10 with their fourth loss in a row.

    Lewiston, Maine - The Trinity College women's tennis team opened the 2018-19 season at the Wallach Doubles Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Bates College in Lewiston. Sophomore Lilly Everett (Atlanta, Ga.) and senior Jane Weber (Winchester, Mass.) teamed up for a quarterfinals victory in the "B" draw while junior Krista Jiranek (Owings Mill, Md.) and sophomore Morgan Wilkins (Halesite, N.Y.) won an 8-3 match in the quarterfinals of the "C" draw. Wilkins and Jiranek dropped a hard-fought semifinals match, 8-6, but bounced back to win the third place match by a score of 8-2.
