Mansfield, Conn. – The Trinity women's track and field team finished third at the Eighth Annual Eastern Connecticut State University Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Bantams racked up 122 points to finish behind the host Warriors, who finished in second, and Bridgewater State.
The Bantams saw a pair of student-athletes set new meet records as Olivia Reny (Gardiner, Maine) won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.67 and Jenna Wilborne (New Haven, Conn.) won the triple jump at 11.66m. Wilborne also won the long jump (5.41m) for Trinity. The Bantams saw success in the middle distance events as Bridget Maguire (White Plains, N.Y.) won the 1,500-meter with a time of 5:12.43 and Abigail Barrett (Hingham, Mass.) crossed the finish line at 11:16.27 to win the 3,000-meter. Finishing in second in the 3,000 was freshman Maggie Curlin (Decatur, Ill.).
