Northampton, Mass. – Senior tri-captain Jenna Wilborne (New Haven, Conn.) accounted for all 18 of her team's points with a second-place distance of 18'0.50" in the long jump and a winning distance of 38'02.75" in the triple jump, as the Trinity College Bantams tied Colby for 12th place in the New England Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships this afternoon at Smith College. MIT won the team title with 151 points.
Wilborne set a new Trinity record for both indoor and outdoor track in the long jump and won her first New England Division III Indoor title in the triple jump by 2.5 inches after placing second last winter. She earns All-New England recognition in both events for her fine performance. Bantam rookie Morgan Sullivan (Hingham, Mass.) added a 12th-place time of 2:20.47 in the 800-meter run, followed two places later by senior tri-captain Mary Daly (Madison, Wisc.) at 2:21.06. In throws, senior tri-captain Lily Talesnick (Littleton, Colo.) was 13th in both the shot put and the weight throw.
