Boston, Mass. - The Trinity College women's indoor track and field 4x400-meter relay squad ran a sub-4 minute race to cap off the Last Chance Meet at Boston University with a new college record on Sunday afternoon, among other record-breaking Bantam performances. Junior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.), sophomores Katie Lazur (East Hanover, N.J.), Katie Marlow-Benedick (Weston, Mass.) and rookie Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) teamed up to topple the school record in the 4x400 with a 3:59.70 finals time to highlight the day.
Marlow-Benedick also bested her record-breaking 200-meter performance from earlier this year with a strong new college record of 25.28 which currently ranks her 20th in Division III nationally. Hallow looked destined to shatter the school's 400-meter record but got tripped up with 45 meters to go and came up just short. In field events, sophomore Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) wasted no time picking up where she left off last year, setting Trinity's new indoor record in the shot put with a finals distance of 11.88 meters. Kabari joined the squad after a successful winter on the Bantams women's basketball team. Elsewhere, senior captain Briana Daley (Oak Park, Ill.) notched a new personal best in the 3,000-meter run, turning in at 10:27.19.
