Boston, Mass. – Trinity College sophomore Katie Marlow-Benedick (Weston, Mass.) set a new college record in the 200-meter dash at the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University over the weekend. Several other Bantams turned in clutch performances as seven runners posted Division III New England qualifying times.

Marlow Benedick finished 49th in the 200-meter dash out of over 200 competitors. Her finals time of 25.65 is a new Trinity indoor record, breaking the previous program best of 26.05. Junior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.) and rookie Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) rounded out Trinity's top performers in the 200, finishing just .06 seconds apart. All three have qualified for the New England Championships in the 200.

Bantam sophomore Katie Lazur (East Hanover, N.J.) highlighted Trinity's performers in the 400-meter dash, breaking the minute mark with a lifetime-best, 59.80 finals time. Buckley and Hallow posted strong showings in the 400 as well, as all three qualified for the event at the New England Championships.

In the middle distances, sophomore Rachel Scheub (Rochester, Mass.) hit a lifetime 800-meter personal best with a 2:26.36 finals time, just missing the indoor New England qualifier mark. Sophomore Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and senior tri-captain Briana Daley (Oak Park, Ill.) set personal records in the 3,000-meter run, with New England qualifying times of 10:29.83 and 10:30.21, respectively, while senior Sara Curtis (Milton, Mass.) led her mile heat from start to finish, hitting a personal best of 5:29.43, followed closely by sophomore teammate Nina Bourgeois (Rochester, Mass.) at 5:30.63. Junior Anna Barnes (Storrs, Conn.) ran a season best 5:08.19 in the mile, setting her up for a potential repeat All-New England performance at next weekend's championships.
