Northampton, Mass. - Junior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.) set an indoor program record in the 400-meter dash as the Trinity College women's track and field squad opened up the 2018-19 season on Saturday at the Smith Winter Classic in Northampton. The Bantams return to action next week for the Wesleyan Small Invitational.
"It was a ton of fun to get out there and watch our student-athletes compete," said Head Coach John Michael Mason (1st Season) after the meet. "Everyone is striving to get better and to help their teammates get better. There were a lot of solid performances today that we can build upon to have a successful season."
Hallow finished first in the 400 by nearly four seconds, turning in a finals time of 58:03 which stands as the new Trinity women's indoor record. The Bantams saw numerous other strong performances in a successful season opener.
