Brunswick, Maine - Senior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.) won the 200-meter dash and finished third in the 400 to lead the Trinity College women's track and field squad at the 2018-19 NCAA Division III Indoor Regional Championships at Bowdoin College. The Bantams finished 13th out of 26 schools with 24 points, one point more than 14th-place Connecticut College and just three behind 12th-place Springfield.
Hallow finished the 200 in 25.86, 0.38 seconds ahead of the field, and just missed a top time in the 400-meter dash, finishing third in 58.57 seconds to earn All-Region honors. Classmate Anna Barnes (Storrs, Conn.) finished fourth in the 1K, re-breaking her own college record with a 2:56.62 finals time for All-Region honors as well. Barnes finished just 1.52 behind the top-time of 2:55.37 and also was a part of Trinity's distance medley team that finished fifth on Friday. Rookie Izzy Montes de Oca (Carpinteria, Calif.) just missed scoring in the 1K, finishing in 3:02.04 which came just .01 seconds off of an All-Region performance.
On Friday, the Bantam distance medley team had a successful showing, claiming sixth-place. Barnes and Montes de Oca teamed up with Lauren Barrett (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Katie Lazur (East Hanover, N.J.) to finish in 12:27.13, behind fifth-place Bates and nearly 15 seconds ahead of seventh-place Conn College.
