Mass. - The Trinity College men's track and field squad competed at the Tufts National Qualifiying Meet on Sunday afternoon in Mendon. The meet marked the final chance for student-athletes to improve their national qualifying chances for the last time during the indoor season. The final national declarations will come on Sunday.
Senior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.) improved on her time in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 57.78, good for a top-finish. Fellow senior Anna Barnes (Storrs, Conn.) finished the mile fourth among the field with a finals time of 5:08.29 while junior Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) came in third in the shot put with a distance of 13.14 meters. Kabari's distance in the shot put set a new Trinity indoor record, beating the previous mark by over a foot.
