Trinity's Peace Kabari and Devan Walsh Earn Women's Track and Field All-NESCAC Honors

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College juniors Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) and Devan Walsh (Danvers, Mass.) were named to the Women's Track and Field All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Team thanks to their outstanding efforts in in the NESCAC Championship Meet last weekend at Middlebury College. 

Kabari earns All-NESCAC honors for the third year in a row, finishing second in the shot put with a finals distance of 13.21 meters. Kabari won the event last year and was also a USTFCCCA All-Regional honoree and NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship qualifier in 2017, as well as an All-New England, All-Region and All-NESCAC performer as a first-year in 2016. Also an All-NESCAC basketball player for the Bantams, Kabari is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and a political science major at Trinity.  She is the daughter of Monday and Kornebari Kabari.

Walsh finished second in the javelin with a distance of 38.76 meters to finish second for All-NESCAC honors. Walsh also was an All-NESCAC performer at last year's meet, finishing third. As a rookie in 2016, she just missed All-NESCAC recognition with a fourth-place effort. Also a basketball player for Trinity, she is a graduate of Danvers High School and the daughter of Karen and Dan Walsh.
