Trinity Women's Relayers Win 4x400-Meter Race In Mary Grinaker Women's Indoor Track And Field Invitational

Northampton, Mass. - The Trinity College entry finished first in the 4x400-meter relay race, as the Bantams opened the 2020 calendar year in the Mary Grinaker Women's Indoor Track and Field Invitational this afternoon.  The Trinity rookie foursome of Christina Alcaro (Marshfield, Mass.), Skye Embray (Los Angeles, Calif.), Reagan Gillooly (Shrewsbury, Mass.), and Julianna Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) posted a time of 4:14.62 to take first by 1.20 seconds.  Trinity senior co-captain Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) added a second-place time of 17:55.09 in the 5,000-meter run, and classmate Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.), on an off day from her role on the Bantam basketball team, came in second in the shot put at 44'00.75".

In all, Trinity boasted nine top-six performances in the meet.  Junioe Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) came in third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.84, and Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) was third in the 600-meter run at 1:42.94.  In the 800-meter run, Gillooly came in third place at 2:27.57, followed by sophomore Isabella Montes De Oca (Carpinteria, Calif.) in fifth at 2:28.93, and senior Rachel Scheub (Rochester, Mass.) in sixth at 2:29.87.  Embray starred in the jumps with a fourth-place distance of 35'11.50" in the triple jump.
