Trinity Women's Indoor Track And Field Ties For 12th At Branwen King-Smith Invitational

Medford, Mass. - First-year Skye Embray (Los Angeles, Calif.) finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 36'06'.75" to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a tie with the Plymouth State University Panthers for 12th place in the Branwen Smith-King Women's Track and Field Invitational at Gantcher Center this afternoon.  Trinity and Plymouth State totaled 21 points apiece to finish seven ahead of 13-place Smith in the field of 22 teams.  MIT won the invitational with 143 points.

Trinity senior captain Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and junior Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) added fifth-place times of 10:21.48 amd 26.79 in the 5,000-meter run and the 200-meter dash, respectively.  Trinity senior captain Katie Lazur (East Hanover, N.J.) was seventh in the 400-meter dash at 1:01.77, and sophomore Isabella Montes de Oca (Carpinteria, Calif.) was seventh in the 1,000-meter run at 3:12.44.
