Lewiston, Maine - The Trinity College Bantams followed up their first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball win last nigth at Colby with a 3-0 setback at Bates College this afternoon in Alumni Gymnasium.  The homestanding Bobcats won all three sets by at least five points (25-14, 25-19, 25-20) to improve to 6-9 overall and 3-3 in the league.  Bates attacked at a .213 percentage for the match and came up with 12 blocks. Trinity attacked at a .079 percentage.

Sophomore Hanna Engstrom (Hopkinton, Mass.) led the Bantams with seven kills and just one error on 23 attempts (.261), while rookie Wyllie Boughton (Andover, Mass.) was second on the team with five kills. Senior tri-captain S Randi Whitham (Weymouth, Mass.) recorded a double-double with 20 assists and 10 digs, while junior L Grace Metry (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) and sophomore Rachel Underwood (Danville, Calif.) were also in double-digits on digs with 14 and 12, respectively.
