Trinity College volleyball has announced the hiring of Kevin Kustura as an assistant coach for the 2019 season. Kustura joins the Bantam coaching staff with over three years of prior coaching experience. He will also serve as an assistant strength &conditioning coach with the Bantams in 2018-19. Kustura most recently was the graduate assistant coach at Wittenberg University Ohio for both the men's and women's squads. Kustura began there in August 2018 and helped coach four American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) DIII All-Americans on the women's side. Prior to Wittenberg, he spent the fall of 2017 at St. Mary's University in San Antonio as a graduate assistant, helping the program to its first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance since 2011.
Kustura earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from California Baptist University where he was a four year member of the volleyball program and a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic honoree. Kustura earned a master's degree from Wittenberg in athletic coaching and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with experience in the strength and conditioning program at the University of Colorado.
