Manchester, Conn. – Senior co-captain Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished third overall with a time of 19:55.8 over 5,000 meters to lead the Trinity College Bantams to second place in the team standings in the Trinity College Women’s Cross Country Invitational this afternoon at Wickham Park.

Feenstra was 57 seconds behind Coast Guard’s Laurel Felt in first place, who edged teammate Kaitlyn Mooney by .01 seconds, and 12 seconds faster than the fourth-place runner.  Junior Julia Burdulis (Hopkinton, Mass.) added a fifth-place time of 20:20.5 to give the Bantams two runners in the top ten.  Bantam senior co-captain Nina Bourgeois (Rochester, Mass.) was 13th, while junior Rachel Scheub (Rochester, Mass.) placed 16th, and first-years Reagan Gillooly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Emily Boucher (Darien, Conn.) were 18th and 19th, respectively.
