Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College women’s cross-country program took its second-straight team crown Saturday afternoon, placing first in a field of 28 at the James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State. The Bantams placed four runners inside the top 25, scoring a team total of 74 to earn the win.
Worcester State, Westfield State, Roger Williams, and Springfield rounded out the top five; the race saw teams from both Division II and Division III programs, with the Bantams represented as the lone NESCAC program.
Senior Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) continues to thrive during her senior campaign, seeing a team-best fourth place finish after crossing the line with a final time of 18:14.96. Junior Julia Burdulis (Hopkinton, Mass.) placed ninth with a time of 18:58.91, and senior Nina Bourgeois (Rochester, Mass.) rounded out the Bantams inside the top fifteen, placing 15th with a time of 19:04.38.
The Bantams will travel to Connecticut College for its invitational next Saturday, October 19, seeing a 10 a.m. start time.
