Hartford, Conn. – Senior Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished with a team-best fourth-place finish on Saturday afternoon, helping the Trinity College women’s cross-country team take fourth place in a field of 37 teams from across all three divisions.
The Bantams, through three races, have yet to place worse than fourth, and have finished inside the top five at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational for the fourth straight season.
Trinity averaged a 19:26.53 time, finishing 26 seconds behind the race winners in Holy Cross. Out of an individual field of 263 runners, the Bantams placed four runners inside the top 50. Senior Nina Bourgeois (Rochester, Mass.) finished with the second-best team result, placing 29th with a final of 19:18.88. Junior Julia Burdulis (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished five places behind Bourgeois, crossing the line with a time of 19:30.54.
The Bantams return to action on Saturday, October 5th, traveling to CCRI for the Tri-State Invitational.
